Our Story

About Us

As a non-profit organization, Crown A Life focuses on preventing human trafficking and providing aid to those who have experienced it. We are committed to providing safety, freedom, and love to survivors around the world. Crown A Life was founded on January 5th, 2023 with one perpetual dream: to show the world that there is still hope. We want to show people that there is still hope in a dismantling society and that there is still hope for a person who has been broken by the weight of traumatic and disturbing experiences. Most importantly, our goal is to make it known to people that they are loved, and that even if everything seems to say the opposite, they are not forgotten.

Human trafficking represents an escalating global concern in contemporary society. Defined as the illegal act of transporting individuals for the purpose of exploiting their labor or services, it often involves deceit, coercion, or the use of force. This nefarious practice predominantly manifests in the form of forced labor or sexual exploitation. Annually, an alarming multitude of individuals, encompassing men, women, and children, fall victim to human trafficking across the globe. This criminal atrocity exhibits no regard for distinctions of gender, age, race, or ethnicity, transcending national boundaries and persisting in unexpected circumstances. Frequently concealed from public view, human trafficking operates as a clandestine crime, with numerous victims ensnared by fear of retribution from traffickers, corrupt law enforcement, and linguistic barriers.

In collaboration with our esteemed local partners, we are deeply committed to combatting this international transgression. The financial resources we mobilize through our extensive fundraising endeavors and strategic sponsorships are earmarked to provide assistance to our global network of local partners. This extensive network spans across a diverse array of nations, encompassing nearly all continents, thereby ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by human trafficking. Our local partners possess an intimate understanding of the diverse cultures within which they operate, guiding their efforts with utmost empathy and compassion.

Most of the communities we engage with have endured the harrowing consequences of human trafficking. Additionally, most of the communities we serve grapple with critical deficits in education and economic opportunities. It is important to note that while the threat of human trafficking may be less pronounced in certain regions, it remains an escalating global concern. This is especially true in areas where educational and economic prospects are limited, as such circumstances leave individuals vulnerable to exploitation by traffickers.

Upon witnessing the consequences of trafficking in South Asia, my family and I were compelled to take action. It is an unequivocal truth that silence may be construed as endorsement, and in the face of millions of individuals subjected to this reality, we refuse to remain passive observers. Our perpetual commitment is to harness our utmost strength and resources to prevent further harm to innocent lives and facilitate the recovery of those who have already suffered. We extend an invitation for you as well to join us in this mission. After all, it takes a noble army to crown princes and princesses.

C.S Lewis once said:

“Integrity is doing the right thing even when nobody is watching."

SIX NATIONS - FOUR CONTINENTS

Our organization’s mission embraces indigenous communities in Brazil as well as ostracized communities in rural Mozambique. Our partners in Romania, Nepal, Thailand, and Cambodia compassionately assist trafficking survivors in their respective regions.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr - Baptist Minister and American Civil Rights Leader

Today, we embark on a new journey for global civil rights. Injustice is still around, and slavery itself is still around. Our fight is international.

Zachary Thomas

Zachary Thomas is the founder and president of Crown A Life, a beautiful organization dedicated towards combatting human trafficking and providing aid to survivors worldwide. Learning about the issue of human trafficking on a 2022 trip to Nepal, he was inspired along with his family to create something that would not only impact his own community but also the international community of survivors and vulnerable people worldwide. Ever since he was a child, he always had an interest for nations, cultures, and peoples. Implementing the love for nations along with his passion for anti-trafficking activism, this organization has become his happy place.
